I don't create the story, I tell YOUR story. Photojournalism is my specialty, and I am an award winning photographer and proud member of the Wedding Photojournalist Association. Don't get me wrong...that doesn't mean that I don't give any instruction. I understand that most people my feel awkward and may not naturally know how to pose for photos. When it comes to the "formals" part of your wedding day, I will give you just enough instructions so that we can get the most natural and genuine reactions.
I have been known to carry random solutions in my fanny pack...
Me, not you! Climb trees, bike handlebars, squeeze into tight spots, crawl on the ground, wade in streams - the things we do to get the photo. This is why I wear shorts.
We will all do lots of this. From our initial meeting to the day of the wedding we will have the best time together! Happy is my favourite, which probably why wedding photography is my first love.
Take a glimpse of life outside of wedding photography
In addition to great images that tell the story of your wedding day, I want you to have the best experience from the first consultation meeting to the delivery of your images, and beyond. Below is just a peek into what it is like to work with me.

Former Resident of Remote Communities.
I lived in some of the most remote areas of Canada before settling in Alberta 18 years ago. I was lucky enough to call Tuktoyaktuk, NWT, Kujjuaaq, QC and Kujjuaraapik, QC my home, where I experienced living in 24 hour daylight in the summer time and darkness during winter; I took part in traditional celebrations of the Cree people, went dogsledding, and waded in the Arctic Ocean.
Enough about me, I'd love to know more about you!

I am incredibly blessed to have images recognized by peers through professional wedding and portrait photography competitions! This is a true testament to the amazing couples I get to work with each and every wedding day. Their trust in me to create something unique and special means everything. Of course, accolades are just the icing on the cake. True joy lies in giving couples the best experience and the most beautiful images that tell the story of their day - images that they will love forever and ever, and that will remind them of every detail of their wedding.

I live in Edmonton, however I've also photographed weddings and engagements in Newfoundland, Dominican Republic, Cuba, Mexico, Las Vegas, and New York City. My passport and I are always ready for travel! And, I love going back to Fort McMurray, where I lived for 16 years. There is no extra charge to travel for weddings there.
Totally normal, most people are! Movement and emotion are my favourite - I will keep you moving and engaged by giving you prompts to help get those authentic reactions.
Absolutely! However, let's keep a few things in mind: photographers have different styles; locations and the direction of the sun impacts an image; and, if we get caught up in Pinterest "latest and greatest" we may lose a little bit of the your true selves. Pinterest is a great way to inspire a look or style and can help me assist you with location ideas, but let's make images that others will want to use as inspiration!
Definitely. You can add an album before or after your session, or you can upgrade your album at any time before the album is actually ordered.
First, contact me. Let's talk about your plans and thoughts for photography. Once you've decided on a collection that works for you, we will sign a contract. A non-refundable retainer is due at the time of signing to secure your date.
